Fall Time Fun!

The fall months have flown by and now I am putting up Christmas decorations that I literally felt like I just took down.

😮

The fall has been packed full of good things (and a lot of shenanigans in between.....)

Domino trains dominated a lot of our kitchen floor.

And BIG BURGERS, was a part of my one-on-one date time I was able to find with each of the kids this fall.

Like it or not, family pictures are always a Patton family fall tradition.

This year we included Lucy in the mix, which added some additional spunk.
Look at my handsome guys! 💗

I loved the location this year. The Red barn theme created the perfect fall atmosphere.
Aww. My never fighting, always smiling, perfect little angels..............

Caleb, the forever charmer

My girl Evelyn Grace, who's 9, going on 16.

James. Handsome as they come.

Levi. He lights up the room when he smiles.

This relationship right here is forever.

And then there is my boys and me. Love these crazy sweet dudes.

The smiles in these pictures are genuine.

It was a happy picture day. We've come a long way.

A big highlight of the fall was Grandma's visit.

Her visits always bring lots of adventures and fun.

Our church rented out the local pumpkin patch. We had a fun afternoon of hayrides, hay mazes and hay.

We had quite the trick or treating crew this year.
Our friends the Austins joined us as well as my mom and John's parents.

We had a train of tricker treaters almost as long as James' train of Snickers!

Lucy was deemed a lion. She was less than thrilled.

During the week, my mom and I had some adventures while the kids were in school. Our time together has changed over the years; once consumed by babies and work 24/7 during her visits, we have now entered an era of leisure and quiet for big chunks of time throughout the day.

I am so grateful for my mom. I'm so grateful for all the seasons of life that we've been through together-even the really tough ones.

We went out to eat, visited a little pioneer town in Aurora and on our final day together, we did an all day, 8 mile hike through Silver Falls state park.

The colors were magnificent.
The ten waterfalls, magical.
It was truly a day to cherish.

Onward in our fall saga......

Quite the opposite of the tranquil, pretty waterfalls.....

John and I surprised our kids with a trip to DisneyLand!
They had a four day weekend over Veterans day, so we picked them up from school Wednesday and drove them straight to the airport.
There was a lot of screaming, cheering and even crying (tears of joy!) when they realized where we were going.

Ready to go!

On the final night, the boys got extremely fatigued. I took them back to the hotel to watch sports and eat. :) John carried on with Evie, and he ended up having one of the most special nights with his girl.
They went on Thunder Mountain and watched the fireworks.

We eventually showed back up to the park and caught the tail end of the fireworks. It was also the first day of "Christmas" in the park too, so the night ended with "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" as snow flakes drifted to the ground on main street.

Another highlight of our time in the parks was scoring access to the new Star Wars ride.....

....and riding  Maynard's JunkYard Jamboree!

Snack time meant pretzels shaped like Mickey Mouse....

....and 90 degree weather meant Christmas time on Main Street.

Because Christmas before Christmas is just the best!
